Butler high school graduate Brittnie Spithaler has been named the Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. The Edinboro freshman helped Edinboro to a 2-0-0 record last week with a 4-1 upset of IUP and 3-2 victory at Mansfield. Spithaler scored three goals over the two games. She notched two goals against the MU and one goal against IUP. Spithaler scored the game-winning goal in both contests. Edinboro is currently riding a three-game winning streak. She has accounted for five goals during the winning streak.
