A judge has ruled that the Pittsburgh Zoo is allowed to go forward with their Asian Lantern Festival after it was contested due to a lawsuit.
The Cleveland Zoo filed a temporary restraining order against the Pittsburgh Zoo because they have a festival with the same name, and argued that it would impact attendance.
A judge said the festival’s name is too generic and should not be entitled to protection under trademark law.
