Judas Priest announced on Instagram on Wednesday (November 6) that they will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of their celebrated 1990 album, Painkiller, during their 2025 European summer tour. The U.K. heavy metal legends will be on the road as part of their Shield Of Pain Tour in support of their well-received 2024 album, Invincible Shield. In honor of the Painkiller milestone, Priest promises a “rare unique set including beloved classics will be defending the metal faith in a truly memorable experience.” The 12-date Shield Of Pain Tour kicks off on Jun 14 in Oslo, Norway, before winding down just over a month later on July 20 in Oberhausen, Germany. The Gold-certified Painkiller was the last album to feature Rob Halford for 15 years, with the singer departing the band until his return for 2005’s Angel of Retribution. (Louder Sound)
