The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and benched starting quarterback Blake Bortles. Taking over the play calling duties for Jacksonville will be Butler native Scott Milanovich. Cody Kessler will take over at quarterback. Milanovich spent five years as the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He has been the quarterbacks coach in Jacksonville prior to the promotion.
The Jags have lost seven games in a row. They also had running back Leonard Fournette suspended for one game without pay for fighting with Buffalo Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson.
Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton is done for the season. Dalton suffered torn ligaments in his thumb in Sunday’s loss to Cleveland.
Monday Night Football: Houston defeated Tennessee 34-17.
