IUP men hit a game-winnng shot with seconds remaining for the second time in a week to escape Slippery Rock with a 67-65 victory last night at Morrow Field House. The Rock trailed by 14 points early in the second half, before storming back to take the lead with nine minutes left to play. Indiana hit a three-point shot with five seconds remaining for the win. IUP improves to 17-5 overall and are now 13-2 in the PSAC. The Rock drops to 17-5, but are 11-5 in the conference.
The Slippery Rock women lost to #13-ranked IUP 67-53 last night. The Rock falls to 10-11 overall, and 8-8 in the PSAC. They are holding the final state playoff spot with six games remaining in the regular season.
The Butler County Community College men’s basketball team lost to Pitt-Titusville 93-92 last night. Joel Stutz led the Pioneers with 26 points. Jace Stutz had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The BC3 women also fell to Pitt-Titusville 89-74. Makenzie Craig had 40 points and 23 rebounds for the Pioneers.
