A local lawmaker is allegedly being investigated for sexual assault.
The Philadelphia Inquirer published a story Thursday alleging State Rep. Brian Ellis, of Butler, is under investigation by the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office for allegedly having sex with a woman while she was incapacitated and without her consent.
The paper cites the alleged assault happened at Ellis’ Harrisburg residence in late 2015. The paper cites multiple unnamed sources with knowledge of the investigation.
49-year-old Ellis, who represents the 11th District, has not publicly responded to the allegations. A call by Butler Radio to Ellis’ Lyndora Office was not immediately returned.
Butler Radio did speak with one of the reporters of the Philadelphia Inquirer story. She stood by her story but would not reveal her sources or any information they may have shared.
