Legislation that protects the rights brought on through the Affordable Care Act has passed a state committee and will move on to the house.
With fears the federal government could cut resources or dismantle the Affordable Care Act, State House Democrats look to bring the debate to Pennsylvania.
The state insurance committee has passed three bills that would protect prohibiting denying coverage, prohibit annual or lifetime dollar amounts, and protect access to preventive care such as health screenings.
The three bills will now head to the house before head to the senate for a vote.
