Boys Basketball:
–Freeport-71 Apollo-Ridge-49. Jalen Brown netted 21 points to lead the Yellow Jackets.
Tonight: The Knoch boys visit Hampton. Hear the game on WISR beginning at 7:15pm with Scott Briggs.
The Mars 9th grade boys basketball team defeated the Upper St. Clair 9th grade team by a score of 58-28 Monday.
The Mars 9th graders return home to face the Deer Lakes 9th grade team on Thursday (12/13) on the Mars HS floor at 3:30pm
Butler 7th Grade Gold Basketball defeated the Leechburg Blue Devils in overtime, 21-16. After trailing by 1 early in the overtime, the Golden Tornado rallied with 6-0 run to get their first victory of the season. Butler was led by Keegan Bracken, 6 points and 7 rebounds with 4 of the points coming in overtime, Ben Miller, 4 points and 5 rebounds, and Kaden Blatt, 4 points with two clutch free throws in the overtime. Butler 7th Grade Gold improves their season record to 1-0
