–North Catholic defeated Mars 3-2 in the Semifinals of the WPIAL Class 2A Team Tournament. The Trojans will meet Quaker Valley for the league championship. Quaker Valley defeated Central Valley 5-0 in the other semifinal.
Baseball:
–Mars-7 Hampton-4.
–Knoch-14 Shady Side Acacemy-0 in five innings.
–Bethel Park-3 Seneca Valley-0.
–Slippery Rock-3 Meadville-0. Shane Thompson and Dylan Gordon combined on a four-hit shutout for the Rockets. Thompson struck out 11 in his six innings.
–AC Valley/Union-2 Brockway-1.
–Karns City-5 Redbank Valley-2.
–Clarion-14 Moniteau-4 in five innings.
–Freeport-3 Deer Lakes-1.
Girls Lacrosse:
–Butler-15 Shaler-4. Becca Allison led the Golden Tornado with five goals. Sydney Spack added three. Evelyn Vissari had two goals. Goaltender Lauren LeGrand had nine saves.
Boys Lacrosse:
–Mars improved to 15-0 this season following a 13-8 win over North Allegheny.
