High School Sports Scores from Thursday:
Girls Tennis:
–Laura Greb of Knoch has reached the reached the WPIAL Double-A Singles championship. She opened the tournament with a 10-0 win over Abby Jo Stull of Greensburg Salem. Greb defeated Alexandra Friedlander of Winchester Thurston in the quarterfinals 10-0. She went on to defeat Devyn Campbell of Beaver 6-0, 6-1 in the semifinals. She will meet Simran Bedl of Sewickley Academy in the final. Bedl defeated Brooke Bauer of Knoch 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals.
–Amelia Haley reached the semifinals of the WPIAL Triple-A single championships before losing to Bethany Yauch of Bethel Park 6-1, 6-0.
–Reagan Sommariva of Butler fell in the first round 10-2 to Mia Gorman of Bethel Park. The Double championships are next week.
Girls Volleyball:
–Butler defeated section rival Fox Chapel 3-0. Scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 24-13. Leading Butler were Maria Lucas with nine kills, four blocks and seven digs, Taylor Welter had seven kills and Sophia Sacriponte had seven kills and three blocks. The Golden Tornado improved to 5-2 overall and host section matches next week against Seneca Valley Tuesday and Pine-Richland Thursday.

–Freeport-3 Apollo-Ridge-0.
–North Catholic-3 Chartiers Houston-0.
Boys Soccer:
–Deer Lakes-4 Freeport-3 in overtime. Hunter Hardin scored twice for the Yellow Jackets. Cole Bennick added the other goal. Freeport is now 5-4 overall and 3-3 in section play.
–Butler fell for the second-straight game, losing 1-0 to Seneca Valley.
–Mars-6 Knoch-0.
Boys Golf:
–Tre Bartony on North Catholic won the WPIAL Class Double-A Section-3 championship with a 70 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club.
–Chris Sicher of Mars was the runner-up in the Triple-A Section 8 qualifier at Pittsburgh North Golf Club. He had a 76, one stroke off the pace. Shea Moffa of Mars had a 78. Both move on to the WPIAL finals.
Girls Golf:
–Butler defeated Shady Side Academy 201-235. Paige Scott was medalist with a 42.
