The NHL gets back to action today after the All-Star weekend. The Penguins meanwhile will get an extra day of rest before hosting the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night.
Penguins general manager Ron Hextall met with the media yesterday detailing his plans for the second half of the season. He is hoping for more consistency down the stretch and said that he expects the team to be active at the trade deadline.
Hextall didn’t specifically address any position, but did discuss bolstering the goaltending position. No updates were immediately available on Tristan Jarry’s injury—but described his status as day-to-day.
