Denny Hamlin won the Nascar Cup Series race at Martinsville for the first time in a decade Sunday. Hamlin dominated the second-half of the race, and led the most laps for his sixth win at the Virginia track. It was his 55th career win, tying Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace for 11th on the Nascar all-time wins list. The win was his first in 31 races. With Hamlin winning and Christopher Bell’s runner-up finish, Joe Gibbs Racing took the top two spots in the race at the track known as the “paper clip”.
The drivers head to Darlington Raceway Sunday afternoon.
