Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Lange has passed away at the age of 76. Lange was the voice of the Pittsburgh Penguins for 46 years seasons as their play-by-play announcer who was famous for his signature phrases. He began his career with the Penguins in October of 1974 and went on to call all five of the Penguins Stanley Cup championships.
The championship games of the NHL’s 4 Nations Tournament will be played tonight in Boston. Face-off between the United States and Canada is 8pm. The game will be televised on ESPN.
It is the first time the two teams have met in an international tournament championship since the World Cup in 2016.
Penguins captain Sidney Crosby leads all scorers in the tournament with five points and four assists as the captain for Team Canada. Former Penguin Jake Guentzel leads the United States team with three goals.
