A recently enacted statewide reform will protect and advocate for Pennsylvanians living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Governor Wolf signed an executive order last week to establish the Office of Advocacy and Reform that would advocate for those living in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living, and personal care homes.
The Executive Order also establishes a Council on Reform to identify necessary reforms to enhance protective services and direct state assistance to vulnerable residents.
Wolf also called on state agencies and lawmakers to advance necessary legislation and other actions needed to accomplish recommendations made by the Council and objectives in the Executive Order.
