Gas prices in western Pennsylvania have continued to move lower, but not significantly, in the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.68 per gallon which is four cents cheaper than last week.
Prices are also about two cents cheaper across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week, averaging $2.79 per gallon. The cheapest gas in the area can be found in Sharon at $2.64 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.95 in Bradford.
The national gas price average fell by four cents to $2.60 which is 21 cents cheaper than this date last year and five cents cheaper than last month, according to AAA. Further declines in the national average price are expected in the coming weeks if demand continues to drop.
