There is still time to participate in a wild turkey survey before it closes early next week.
The public has until has until Monday to report sightings that happened during July and August as part of the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s fifth annual Wild Turkey Sighting Survey.
The commission is looking for information like location, date and number of wild turkeys that people observe. Location information will not be shared or stored.
This data will allow officials to determine how factors including weather, habitat, food and predators affect turkey reproduction and population.
Participants should submit their information to the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s website or through the Game Commission’s mobile apps.
