Penn State University is looking at the future of their branch campuses after school officials deemed the current setup as “not sustainable.”
Penn State has 19 different branch campuses in Pennsylvania, along with five other specialized schools.
In a meeting with branch campuses, a school executive did not rule out the possibility that some the schools could close. It comes as the branch campuses face economic and enrollment challenges.
Some branch campus officials did express frustration with Penn State leaders, citing an unclear plan.
