With some federal COVID money set to expire for rental relief, Butler County officials approved a request to use the dollars for other purposes.
County commissioners voted to allow nearly $100,000 in CDBG funds for Summit and Penn Townships to be allotted for housing rehabilitation purposes.
They said the funds will help low to moderate income household with mold removal and poor ventilation.
The county also wanted to remind residents that more than $9 million is available for emergency rental relief through the end of the month.
