There were 208 new cases of COVID-19 and eight additional deaths for Butler County on Friday.
That now brings the total number of deaths in the county to 233 according to the Department of Health.
The latest update from Butler Health System was unavailable at the time of this report, but as of Wednesday morning Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 59 patients for the coronavirus, with 12 COVID patients in the ICU.
Statewide, there were 10,178 new cases, 215 additional deaths, and 5,491 patients hospitalized for COVID-19—which is down slightly from Thursday.
