The Pennsylvania Department of Health is offering free local testing for COVID-19 this week.
According to Butler County Emergency Services which is handling traffic control, the testing will begin Wednesday at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park and continue to Sunday.
This site will contain both a drive-thru and an indoor walk-in testing clinic open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Testing will consist of a mid-nasal passage swab PCR test. Patients ages 3 and older are not required to show symptoms in order to take advantage of this free test. No appointment is necessary but on-site registration is required so those attending should bring a photo ID or insurance card.
This testing will be first-come, first-served and up to 450 patients can be tested each day. Results are expected to be available two to seven days after testing.
