The Butler Area School District is bringing back a familiar face as they look for someone to fill the position long term.
During a school board meeting on Monday, members approved the hiring of former Supervisor of Transportation Brenda Collins to take over the same position in an interim capacity.
Since Collins has retired from the district after 27 years of service, the agreement for her to return temporarily will occur through the district’s substitute employee provider Educational Staffing Solutions.
The district’s former Supervisor of Transportation MaryCathleen Mason resigned from the position after two years. The job opening for Supervisor of Transportation will be posted and the district plans to fill the position with a permanent replacement as soon as possible.
