One person died in a house fire Thursday afternoon in Jefferson Township.
It happened shortly before 3 p.m. at a home in the 100 block of Rockdale Road.
Crews from Saxonburg, Penn Township, Middlesex, and Herman all responded to find heavy fire at the residence.
According to a Go Fund Me account, a father of three died in the fire—that was confirmed to our newsroom by the Butler County Coroner.
The departments shut down a portion of Rockdale Road while on the scene.
The cause of the fire and amount of damage is unknown at this time.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
