The public is invited attend a gathering this weekend to benefit a local family as well as remember a tragic loss.
The event will be held Saturday from noon to around 5 p.m. at the Saxonburg Firemen’s Carnival Grounds to benefit the Rupert family.
12-year-old Zane Rupert and his 65-year-old grandfather David Faulx died in a crash earlier this month on Winfield Road. Zane was a student at Knoch High School as well as a football player for the Saxonburg Spartans.
The Saturday event will include a silent walk to remember through downtown Saxonburg as well as live music from local bands, a karaoke dedication, silent auctions, 50/50 raffles, and food and drink vendors.
All of the money raised will go directly to the Rupert family.
