Renovations should be completed on Evans City Pool by the end of the month.
This was an extensive project that spanned several months- even years- and cost more than $500,000. Work included a complete renovation to both the pool and bath house.
Some last-minute change orders for the project were approved by the Butler County commissioners during a meeting on Wednesday. The pool tile color will be changed from a purple and green mix to a more neutral color, at no additional cost. Also, plaster will be used as a finish on the pool instead of a painted finish. That change comes with an additional $15,000 cost, which will be paid by Evans City Borough.
To accommodate the changes, the project will now not be completed until May 22.
“The bath house was expected to be done Wednesday, but the pool will take a bit longer,” County Parks Director Lance Welliver told the Butler County commissioners during a meeting Wednesday.
