A woman died in a house fire over the weekend in New Castle.
The fire broke out Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at a home on Gretchen Avenue. Authorities were alerted that an elderly woman was trapped inside the home.
Our news partners at WPXI say crews were able to put out the fire fairly quickly, but the woman was killed.
The victim’s name was not immediately available.
