There’s been a growing number of guns being brought through the security line at the Pittsburgh Airport.
Our news partners at WPXI report that so far the TSA has confiscated 27 guns this year, including four guns caught in just four days last week.
The TSA says they are highly concerned of this new trend and are reminding flyers how significant penalties can be.
The Department of Justice is also requesting that county sheriffs rescind the concealed carry license of any individual who demonstrates negligence by bringing a gun to a security checkpoint at the airport.
The fine for these violations can range from $3,000 to $14,000.
