A local vehicle dealership is moving forward with a new facility to make southern Butler Township their headquarters for continued growth.
After receiving more information about storm water plans, parking calculations, and traffic patterns, the Butler Township Planning Commission has given approval to Diehl Volkswagen for a land development project at the former NexTier Bank headquarters on Route 8 South and Vogel Road next to Sheetz.
Diehl already owns the property but plans to expand the facility into a factory approved dealership and service center. Diehl would not have a collision repair facility but would make use of the office space for their headquarters as they expand to Sharon, Grove City, Robinson, and beyond.
The Township’s Board of Commissioners is expected to consider final approval for this project later this month.
