State officials are reminding dog owners that there are just a couple of days left before the deadline to purchase a dog license.
Dog owners need to purchase the license by January 1st. Officials say buying licenses are a legal responsibility of dog owners in order to protecting dogs and helping if your pet is lost.
Licenses can be purchased through the county treasurer’s office. An annual license is $8.70—it can be bought online or in-person. There is also a lifetime license available for $52.70.
