A Cranberry Township man is facing charges after it’s alleged he committed a hit and run in the Cranberry.
Police were called to the Cranberry Mall in on January 4 for a report of a hit and run. When police arrived on scene the victim of the hit and run said a Jeep hit their vehicle, injuring them, then driving off from the scene.
Police made a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as 64-year-old Hung Nguyen. Due to surveillance video police were able to connect Nguyen’s vehicle to the hit and run.
According to charging documents, police smelled alcohol and arrested Nguyen. He also failed sobriety tests on scene but declined to take a blood or breathalyzer.
He has been charged with a DUI and has been placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
