The number of local residents requiring hospitalization for serious COVID-19 symptoms continues to rise and three more local deaths have been reported.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Monday morning 24 patients are hospitalized at Butler Memorial Hospital with three of those in the ICU. This is an increase of three compared to Thursday.
The hospital reported one death to the state on Saturday and two more on Monday.
BHS will begin administering booster vaccines once they have received authorization from the FDA and the CDC. Details will be posted to the Butler Health System website when they become available.
