The number of COVID cases continues to grow, although local hospitalizations have gone down since the beginning of the week.
According to the Department of Health, there were 172 new cases in Butler County over the past seven days. That’s up 34 more compared to last week.
There was also one more reported death to the DOH, bringing the county’s death toll to 424.
As of yesterday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 10 patients for the coronavirus, with three patients in the ICU. That’s down five from Monday.
Statewide hospitalizations are increasing as well, up to 935 patients. That’s up from 624 last Friday.
