The state has issued grant funding to allow counties to pay for support services for victims of crime.
The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, or PCCD, awarded grants to Butler County including just over $217,000 to help fund the local Victim Wellness Program as well as another in the amount of $133,000 for continuing county adult probation and parole.
The Butler County Alliance for Children will receive a grant for $47,000.
A total of $40 million has been disbursed across the state to help counties support survivors through funding for county victim/witness offices, victim service providers, and children’s advocacy centers.
