Butler County officials say that most of their American Rescue Plan dollars are officially allotted.
Over two separate payments, the county receive over $36 million from the federal government.
Part of the requirement was to have that money obligated by the end-of-the-year, and spent by 2026.
The county has used that money for a variety of infrastructure projects, including helping local municipalities and facility upgrades.
Commissioners note that none of the money was used as part of their operating budget. They said some nearby counties are now facing budgeting concerns after implementing the federal dollars as part of their annual budget.
