A contractor is facing charges for taking money from a woman and not completing the work.
Police have charged Andrew Wooley of New Brighton of ASAP Contracting for taking $3,500 from the victim while only completing some of the work.
Wooley was given a down payment of $2,500 to complete work at a home in Butler, but then requested an additional $1,000 to finish the project. After receiving the payment Wooley avoided completing the work three weeks.
Wooley claimed delays from the victim and the material provider caused the delays but official records shows the materials were never purchased.
Wooley is facing several charges such as receiving advance payment for services and failure to perform and theft by deception.
