Western Pennsylvanian’s Chief Medical Officers are reminding residents to get vaccinated and what to do if you are sick as respiratory virus season is here.
The 14 chief medical officers from the area are reminding people to get vaccinated for the new strains of Covid-19 and get their flu shot as well. Those over 60 can also get the RSV vaccine.
If you are experiencing any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, or breathing problems take a self Covid-19 test or see a doctor. The doctors also say do not go to school or work if you feel sick and never assume it’s a simple cold or allergy.
If you do test positive contact your doctor for the best course of action for treatment.
