A couple of Butler County municipalities will be receiving federal dollars as they prepare to tackle water system improvement projects.
The Borough of Chicora has been awarded $1.5 million in order to replace existing water lines in that community.
Also, the Municipal Authority of Buffalo Township will receive $600,000 to fund the Route 228 West / Ekastown area waterline extension project.
The dollars come from the American Rescue Plan Act, through statewide distribution by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
