Chase Elliott won for the second straight time at Watkins Glen Sunday. It was the first repeat winner at the New York road course since Marcos Ambrose won back-to-back in 2011 and 2012. Elliott led 80 of the 90 laps in the race after winning the pole Saturday. Martin Truex, Jr. was the runner-up followed by teammates Denny Hamlin and Erik Jones. Ryan Blaney completed the top five.
John Force raced to his NHRA record-extending 150th Funny Car victory Sunday at the Northwest Nationals in Kent, Washington. The 70-year old Force defeated Ron Capps in the final.
