Freeport Borough officials say cell service has been restored after the area experienced unreliable service beginning Tuesday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Borough’s Fire Marshal, the issue with Verizon Wireless and those who connect to their tower was corrected Wednesday afternoon.
In some instances cell phones did need to be restarted in order for service to operate normally again.
No incidents were reported within the borough where contacting 911 was impacted by the service disruption.
