A summer camp that helps local children with bereavement is holding an open house and fall festival this weekend.
Camp Erin is a national program that helps children who have lost a significant person in their life learn to cope with the experience. They have a location in Butler County at Good Samaritan Hospice, which is hosting a fall festival and camper reunion this weekend.
The program’s clinical director Jenna Rhodaberger says the camps allows for “kids to come together just to spend time with other kids who have lost someone close to them.”
The fall festival and camper reunion is this Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Hospice building on Browns Hill Road—just off of Route 8 South. People will have a chance to learn and take advantage of resources the camp offers.
You can learn more about Camp Erin by contacting Good Samaritan Hospice.
