Butler’s medical marijuana dispensary will begin selling marijuana in dry leaf form beginning Wednesday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced Monday that CY+ on Pillow Street in Butler will be one of 16 dispensaries across the state to start selling the drug in plant form. Another 12 dispensaries will follow in the coming weeks.
Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said the dry leaf form of medical marijuana provides a cost-effective option for patients, in addition to the other forms of medication already available at dispensaries. Dispensaries will continue to have other forms of medical marijuana including oils, pills and topicals.
