As many residents get ready to share a meal with loved ones and count their blessings, an annual effort to give back to those less fortunate will soon get underway.
The “Socks for Seniors” project will begin Friday with the collection of new, adult-sized socks.
A donation bin to drop off socks will be located at the Butler Township Municipal Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
In addition to providing socks to seniors in assisted living facilities, some socks will also be donated to seniors who receive assistance through Meals on Wheels.
The last day to donate to this effort is December 15th.
