Some creativity by two students resulted in the Butler Area School District receiving grant money from a local organization.
As part of XTO Energy’s Community Leaders of Tomorrow Awards, students made videos highlighting local charity organizations and their impact on the community.
Carter Stanton—a junior at Butler—made a video showcasing the Center Township Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization. XTO awarded the PTO with a $1,500 grant and Stanton won a $500 prize and a new iPad.
Chris Zidek, a Butler senior, won for his work on the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, which received a $500 grant from XTO.
