The Butler Area School Board will create a committee to consider approving a resolution to express frustration with the Pennsylvania School Board Association.
The Board previously directed Superintendent Dr. Brian White along with the school solicitor to craft a statement that was presented for vote at Monday’s meeting but it did not receive majority approval.
Board member Bill Halle outlined why he believes that the resolution is necessary to articulate dissatisfaction with an organization that he claims has been increasingly focused on the desires of districts in the eastern part of the state.
The sub-committee made up of board members Halle, Tom Harrison, Jennifer Cummings, and Nine Teff plan to meet at 5 p.m. January 10th before the board’s Committee of the Whole meeting to talk more about what language might be acceptable for all board members.
