The Butler Indoor track and field teams continue to post top-10 program marks weekly this season. They are prepping this week for the Tri State Track Coaches Association Team championships at Edinboro Saturday.
Last weekend – Chris Rubcic ran the 60-meters in a time of 7.12 seconds, which is second all-time in Butler program history. (Guinness Brown holds set the Golden Tornado record with a 7.02.)
Rubcic’s mark was one of six to reach into the Butler top-10 in program history last week. And that was just on the boys side. The Butler girls had three top-10 marks last week – led by Jocie Slesinski, who ran the third-fastest time in Butler program history in the 400 at a meet held by Youngstown State University. Her time was 58.89 seconds.
