The news director for the Butler Radio Network is in Hershey today accepting two awards on the organization’s behalf.
The network- which is locally owned and operated- is being recognized by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters in two categories- excellent radio promotional announcement and excellent commercial. Kayla Molczan will attend a luncheon this afternoon to accept the awards.
Both spots aired on Butler Radio Network’s three stations in 2018.
Today’s luncheon followed a “Gold Medal Awards Dinner” Sunday night at the Hotel Hershey. Stand-up comedian, actor and TV host Bob Saget was presented with one of Pennsylvania broadcasting’s highest honors- the Gold Medal Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.
The recipient must be a native of Pennsylvania and recognized through accomplishments in the arts, communication, education, business, public service, science, sports or philanthropy.
