The Butler County Sports Hall of Fame will induct 10 individuals along with a former WPIAL championship team next month.
Among the inductees for 2019 are: former Knoch football coach Mike King, Dan Codispot, Carla Wetzel Patarini, Chase Rowe, Lyneil Mitchell, Rob Voltz, Troy Mohney, Dick Swartzlander and the late Bob Cowoski. Being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award will be long-time Butler high school coach Lew Liparulo and the 1991 Butler Boys Basketball team led by coach Mark Jula will be inducted. They were the last Butler basketball team to win the WPIAL championship.
The induction banquet will be held at the Butler Days Inn Saturday, April 13th. Tickets are available at several locations in the county – including at the Butler Radio Network. Tickets are $40 each.
