Butler County is officially approved for a loan through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Bank.
County officials say the loan is for just over $5 million, which will help speed up cash flow of infrastructure projects across the county.
Part of the money will help go toward the replacements of various bridges as well as the Gateway 228 project in Middlesex Township.
The terms of the loan are 10 years at a 1.6% interest rate.
