The Butler County Symphony Orchestra will open its 70th season this weekend.
A concert titled ‘Bernstein & Barber’ will be performed on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Butler Intermediate High School. A pre-concert talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. with conductor Matthew Kraemer.
The symphony will honor the centennial of Leonard Bernstein by performing music from ‘On the Town’ and ‘West Side Story.’ The symphony will also perform two works by Samuel Barber.
