The City of Butler will have a new treasurer later today.
Butler City Council plans to gather at 9 a.m. to make a choice between two candidates who expressed interest in filling the position.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, reside within city limits for at least one year, and be an accountant. The position’s term will expire at the end of 2023.
Aaron Bonus has been the City Treasurer since June of 2019 but announced his plans to resign earlier this month since he plans to move outside of the city.
