The Butler high school boys golf team defeated Slippery Rock 206-237 at Oakview Golf Club Tuesday. Brayden Setnar led the Golden Tornado with a 37. Chris Huff and Colin Patterson each shot 41. Butler will visit Shaler today at Lakevue Golf.
Kevin Shields of Nevillewood won the Tri-State PGA Section championship for the second time in four years Tuesday. He shot a final round 71 to win by two strokes. The victory qualifies Shields for the National Club Professional Championship next May.
